1. Our next meeting – November 10th
– will have a Slideshow of members’ cell phone pictures (maximum 5 images each). We will also have the CAPA Guide to Judging Criteria, with a critique of our images. See below:
2. A reminder to send one image to Allan Reich at prairie@capacanada.ca after November 1st
for the Zoom Critique at the November meeting. This should be an image for which you would like to receive some constructive critique. Allan will be teaching us a bit about CAPA judging criteria during this excercise.
3. Members are also asked to bring some of your images from the CAPA Photo Walk on a stick to the next meeting to hand in to Bill Wanner prior to the meeting. Bill will place these in a “Just-in-Case” folder which we will keep for a possible presenter cancellation or some other time where we can fit them in to the schedule.
4. It is time to refresh our prints hanging up in our Gallery at Carol’s Catering. Think about getting one of your images printed for display at Carol’s. Contact Rob Harden at 306-681-5223, 4dogs1974@sasktel.net; or Bob Schultz at 306-631-0511, sunwood@sasktel.net to have your image printed and mounted at a very reasonable club member cost.
5. You may enter the PRPA Hand of Man Competition – send your images to Wanda Hudson by November 15th at wandahudson@sasktel.net
6. Our Rib Night Fundraising tickets are now available – great for Christmas gift-giving or stocking stuffers! Melina Shepley will have the tickets for distribution at the November meeting.
7. The birdseed wreaths the club sold last year can still be ordered again this year, but must be pre- ordered from Wanda Hudson at 306-631-7440. They are $25 each or two for $45.
8. The Group of Ten (GOT) is challenging our club members to a fun challenge. Attached to this message are screenshots of a poem you are asked to read, and then you are asked to submit one image that depicts what the poem means to you, to groupoftencameraclub@gmail.com. Send to Group of Ten by January 30, 2026. not limited to one photo.
9. For submission of images to all above and for club digital submissions taken on your cell phone, it is suggested that on your phone you email the picture(s) to your own email address on your computer, and then you can send it from your computer to a USB or email it, if that is the requirement, directly from there for submission. If there is no criteria mentioned, make your images 5 – 10 MB.
