1) First, a big shout-out to Georgina Gadd for hosting our “Night Photography” last weekend! By all reports it was a huge amount of fun, and the pictures posted on FB showed it was a great success. Thank you, Georgina and to everyone else who made the night fantastic!
2) The next club meeting will be on Monday, May 12, 2025.
- The first activity will be a Critique with the theme “Landscape.” Members may submit ONE image to Rob Harden on a USB before 6:45 that night. Judges for the Critique will be Wanda Hudson and Rob Harden.
- Following the Critique, we will have a short Webinar on “Abstract.”
- Rounding off the evening will be a Presentation on “Exposure” by Bob Schultz and Rob Harden. This is a presentation we know you will not want to miss!
3) June Club Competition – June 9th, 2025
- It’s time to start preparing for our Year-End (and last of the year) Competition! A reminder of the guidelines:
- Categories are Traditional (TR – no AI allowed) and Altered Reality (AR – AI allowed). You may submit ONE Traditional and ONE Altered Reality print.
- Sizes are to be 8”x10” to a maximum of 11”x14” unmatted prints, mounted on a rigid backing for display; sizes not within these parameters will not be placed in the competition, but will happily be set up for display only.
- Have a plain sheet of paper to cover each print so others do not see your picture before it is displayed.
- Bring a 3”x4” piece of paper with ONLY your title printed on it, for each print you enter.
- Your name must not be anywhere on the prints or on your papers.
- Theme will be “Open.” Levels will be Novice, Intermediate and Experienced.
- NOTE: The Executive is working on a guideline to let members know better which Level you would enter in. This Guideline will be sent to you prior to the June meeting.
4) 2025-26 Executive: At our June meeting we will be electing our new Executive for the 2025-2026 Season. The nominating Committee is working on getting a slate of officers to bring to the June meeting. They may be approaching you! Please consider offering your help, expertise and fresh ideas to your club by becoming a member of the Executive. If anyone is interested in joining the Executive, please feel free to approach one of the Nominating Committee - Sheryl Parry, Georgina Gadd, and Betty Calvert
