Here is your notice for the MJCC May Events:
1. May 13, 2024 Membership Meeting
Program will consist of a Critique on “Reflections.” Bring one image on a USB stick of something that shows your interpretation of “Reflections.” Hand it in to Rob Harden by 6:45 that night. The Workshop will be “Waterworks” led by Wanda Hudson. We will do some neat shooting through/into water. Bring your equipment, including probably a close-up or 35 mm lens. It will be a fun evening for all!
2. A report on the Saturday, May 4, 2024 Outing – “Night Skies” About a dozen club members travelled to the Salt Can south of Conn’s Corner and were rewarded with no rain, clear skies, no wind and a gorgeous night of shooting the night skies. A few happily captured some meteors in their shots and a good time was had by all!
3. Group WhatsApp
Just a reminder of this opportunity for members to connect for sharing information on shooting opportunities! The club has set up a Group WhatsApp, just for this purpose. It is strictly optional. Hilda Maier will have the sign-up list available for this again on Monday.
4. PRPA (Prairie Region of Photographic Arts) June 2025 Outing
Our club executive has determined our club will host the 2025 PRPA June Outing. Wanda and Hilda will be bringing us more information on this exciting opportunity on Monday!
5. Club Gallery at Carol’s Catering
And a reminder: Carol’s Catering and Café has opened the main side of the restaurant to an increased gallery display for Moose Jaw Camera Club members’ prints. Members are encouraged to bring a print or two to this meeting for Rob to add to the Carol’s Catering and Café Camera Club Gallery. He still has room for a few more prints. If you aren’t sure what you should bring for display, go to Carol’s for coffee or a meal some time and check it out. The food is awesome and reasonably priced – a good opportunity to enjoy a great meal and thank Carol for her support for our club! All work displayed can be marked for sale – your choice.
